Adviser to de facto President of occupied Abkhazia resigns over meeting with Alliance of Patriots

Lasha Sakania, an Adviser to the de facto President of occupied Abkhazia has resigned over a meeting with representatives of the Alliance of Patriots, local media outlets reported.

Local media said Lasha Sakania wrote in his own Facebook page about the decision which in is in connection with the meeting on August 18, 2020.

“In order not aggravate situation in the society, I decided to resign voluntarily, but I want to emphasise that I have and always will defend the interests of our people and state,” Lasha Sakania wrote.
