Heavy snowfall has resulted in challenges for the mountainous regions of Adjara.

According to Tornike Rizhvadze, the head of the government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, road-clearing operations are currently taking place across all administrative units. He noted that efforts are also being made to address disruptions in electricity supply.

“Significant snowfall and precipitation have caused issues in mountainous Adjara. Consequently, road-clearing work is ongoing in all administrative units. While there are disruptions in electricity supply, we are coordinating closely with the Central Motorway Department and all energy companies to minimize the impact on our citizens,” stated Tornike Rizhvadze.

Additionally, a main water supply pipe in the Tamari settlement of Batumi was accidentally damaged, and repair work is currently underway.
