334 Health workers infected with COVID-19 in Ukraine

The 334 Health workers are infected with COVID-19 in Ukraine – Ukrainian Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov said on April 10.

“Of the 2203 patients with coronavirus infection today, there are 334 medical workers. We are committed to providing them with personal protective equipment as much as possible. Every day, planes with tens, hundreds of thousands of respirators, biosecurity suits, goggles arrive. All this is immediately delivered to hospitals,” Stepanov said.

The minister explained that, the mass infection with COVID-19 of medical personnel is being recorded all over the world, because they are “at the forefront of the battle with coronavirus.

“For example, in Italy, about nine thousand doctors and nurses fell ill – this is 12% of the total number of infected. In Ukraine, this figure is now more than 15%, or every seventh patient,” he claimed.
