About 21 thousand people used program of provision with medicines for chronic diseases
The 20 622 people used program of provision with medicines for chronic diseases from July 1, 2017, to present, though the program is envisaged for 200 thousand patients as reported last year during the program’s presentation – Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs told First Channel.
The program at the initial stage referred to the socially vulnerable people of any age and spread to 4 chronic diseases. These patients could buy 23 medicines at a symbolic price – 1 GEL.
Starting August, the advantages referred to the patients having second-type diabetes. They can buy medicines at half price.
Starting September 3, people with limited physical capabilities and pensioners can buy medicines at a 50% discount.
