Minister of Finance of Georgia, Lasha Khutsishvili on Monday discussed the final version of the 2024 draft budget which will be shortly sent to the Parliament for approval.
According to the Minister, the next year’s budget envisages growth in both social and infrastructural directions.
“Pensions and social benefits will increase in 2024. The education sector will receive an additional 600 million GEL.
Approximately, 250 million GEL will be additionally provided for defense and security. In total, 6.7 billion GEL will be allocated to the development of the infrastructure.
The volume of the consolidated budget will top 28 billion GEL, and the state budget will exceed 25 billion GEL,” the Minister added.
