197 Cases of Measles Reported in Adjara this Year

The 197 cases of measles virus have been reported in Adjara region since January 1 of the current year, – Zaal Mikeladze, Minister of Health and Social Affairs of Adjara, reported.

The 20 percent of the cases are revealed in children aged 0-5 years, 50% – in adults above 16 years.

The Minister calls on the citizens to vaccinate. “I remind citizens that the vaccination is free,” Mikeladze said.
