132nd IPRM meeting convened in Ergneti

The 132nd session of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) took place in the village of Ergneti, Gori Municipality.

According to the State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG), the meeting involved a detailed discussion of all significant incidents recorded in the occupied region and along the occupation line since the previous gathering.

“The representatives of the SSSG once again demanded justice for the Georgian citizen Tamaz Ginturi, murdered by representatives of the Russian occupation forces,” the statement read.

They also insisted on the immediate release of all individuals unlawfully detained.

The meeting strongly condemned the continuing practice of illegal so-called borderisation.

The authorities highlighted concerns over the ongoing violation of fundamental human rights in the occupied Tskhinvali region, calling for the restoration of the rights of those affected by this destructive practice.

A key topic of discussion was the issue of illegal restrictions on free movement. The stakeholders held an extensive dialogue concerning the regime at the so-called crossing points.

The SSSG’s statement also noted that the next meetings of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism are scheduled for 2026, with sessions recorded on July 23 and September 8.
