10 polling stations to be opened in penitentiary facilities

Ten polling stations will be opened in penitentiary facilities based on the rule as set by the Georgian legislation for 2018 presidential elections to be held on October 28 in Georgia. The polling stations will be opened starting 08:00.

One part of the inmates, charged for minor crimes, will be able to vote by casting their ballot in a movable box. Both local and international observers will monitor the voting process.

The special penitentiary service will ensure holding of the voting process in a peaceful and free environment at penitentiary facilities.
