Assistant Secretary of State calls on the Government of Georgia and the Parliament to strengthen the judiciary system and enhance independence of the judiciary.

“Georgia has gained the name of a democratic country in this region. We call on the Government of Georgia and Parliament to strengthen the judiciary system and enhance judiciary independence. It should be done not only for implementing reforms but also in real practice, “- Mitchell said.

According to him, the steps taken by the Georgian government for developing the economic are remarkable.

He said that the US supports Georgia’s commitment to build a strong military base and system.
