Police tightens security in Minsk before opposition begins protest rally

The police have tightened security in the centre of Minsk before the opposition begins its March of New Belarus in the Belarusian capital today at 15:00.

Reportedly, a metro station in the Independence Square has closed.

Demonstrations in Minsk has been underway for more than 20 days. The protesters are demanding President Lukashenko’s removal.
