Patriarch to hold prayers in commemoration of 100,000 Martyrs

Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II today will hold solemn prayers at the Metechi Bridge in Tbilisi in commemoration of 100,000 Martyrs.

The believers will gather at 17:00 at the territory. The creative union “National Imperative” will give a theatrical performance on the theme.

The Hundred Thousand Martyrs are saints of the Georgian Orthodox Church who were put to death in the14th century anonymous for not renouncing Christianity.
