Minister of Defense: We plan to purchase special equipment of NATO standards

“We plan to purchase new special equipment of NATO standards and replace existing ones this year,” the Minister of Defense of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili said in an interview with “Rustavi 2.”

According to Irakli Garibashvili, “Georgian Defense Forces made an important contribution against the spread of coronavirus, but during this process, some technical problems emerged.”

Irakli Gharibashvili emphasized the high professionalism and dedication of the Georgian Defense Forces in the fight against the novel virus.

“Our heroic soldiers, along with the heroic policemen, have been doing unprecedented work around the clock. For example, 1 700 000 million vehicles were disinfected by the army and 2,5 million people’s temperature was checked by the military doctors,” Irakli Gharibashvili said.
