Gov't instructs Ministry of Health to prepare 3,000 hospital beds in coming days
Georgian Ministry of Health has been instructed to prepare 3,000 hospital beds in the coming days for fast and effective treatment in case of an increase in coronavirus cases, stated the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia at today’s briefing at the government administration.
Today on average 8 000 PCR tests are performed in Georgia, the number will increase to 10 000 in the near future, stressed Gakharia.
Georgia has reported 87 new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) today, bringing the total number of infected people to 1 917, according to stopcov.ge.
20 patients have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, increasing the total to 1 354.
