Georgia to allow international flights from February

Georgia plans to lift restrictions on international flights from February, acting Georgian Minister of Economy, Natia Turnava announced on Monday.

The positive trends in economic activity are observed as a result of anti-crisis assistance, Turnava mentioned in her 2020 activity report presentation.

“Kutaisi and Batumi international airports’ expansion program will be over any day now. We plan to lift all restrictions on international flights from February. Upgraded infrastructure will serve guests as well as our citizens,” Turnava noted.

In a bid to curb the virus spread, Georgia entered a 2-months partial lockdown on November 28.
