Georgia reported 829 coronavirus cases, 566 recoveries, and 8 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 314 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 150 cases and the Adjara region with 37 cases.

The positivity rate for the day is 4, 52%, for the last 7 days – 3, 63%.

Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 263 057, among them 254 916 people recovered and 3 301 died.

There are 430 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 2 149 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 301asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at Covid-hotels.

Currently, there are 480 critical patients, among them, 127 require mechanical ventilation.
