Georgia reports 580 coronavirus cases, 215 recoveries, 6 deaths

Georgia reported 580 coronavirus cases, 215 recoveries, and 6 deaths on Saturday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 331 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 56 cases and the Adjara region with 51 cases.

A total of 29 729 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 16 531 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 13 198 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 1,95  %, while 1,81% in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 283 369, among them, 274 145 people recovered and 3 804 died.

There are 250 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 1 758  Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 231 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
