Georgia reported 5,021 coronavirus cases, 5,041 recoveries, and 58 deaths on August 25, the official figures show.
53,747 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 33,312 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 20,435 were PCR tests.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 2,030 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 599 cases and the Imereti region with 589 cases.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 528,043, among them, 463,306 people recovered and 6,949 died.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 9,52 %, while 10,57% in the past seven days.
There are 95 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 7,356 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 3,304 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
Currently, out of 1,556 critical patients, 384 require mechanical ventilation.
As of today, 1,038 292 people got coronavirus jab with 28,196 in a day.
