Georgia reports 4 128 coronavirus cases, 5 611 recoveries, 79 deaths

Georgia reported 4 128 coronavirus cases, 5 611 recoveries, and 79 deaths on Thursday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1 540 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 494 cases, and the Imereti region with 462 cases.

A total of 43 653 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 26 534 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 17 119 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 9, 46 %, while 10, 77 % in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 532 171 among them 468 917 people recovered and 7 028 died.

There are 129 people quarantined, 7 357 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 3 348 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities, 45 495 are treated at home, 55 879 are in self-isolation.

As of August 26, 1 065 848 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, among them, 331 736 are fully vaccinated.
