Georgia reports 3 196 coronavirus cases, 1 147 recoveries, 27 deaths

Georgia reported 3 196 coronavirus cases, 1 147 recoveries, and 27 deaths on Saturday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1 487 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 517 cases, and the Imereti region with 315 cases.

A total of 41 965 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 24 659 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 17 306 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 7, 62 %, while 6, 78 % in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 419 534, among them, 382 393 people recovered and 5 820 died.

There are 54 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 5 651 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1 989 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

As of July 31, 481 591 people got the coronavirus vaccine.
