Georgia reported 2,410 coronavirus cases, 1,516 recoveries, and 24 deaths on October 6, the official figures show.
34,918 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 20,262 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 14,656 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 6,9%, while 5,31% in the past seven days.
Georgian capital of Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 700 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 479 cases, and the Kakheti region with 374 cases.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 623,830, among them, 594,669 people recovered and 9,134 died.
There are 52 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 4,077 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 623 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
Currently, out of 965 critical patients, 255 require mechanical ventilation.
As of today, 1,836,443 people got the coronavirus vaccine, with 9,075 in a day.
