Georgia reports 1,089 coronavirus cases, 1,489 recoveries, 18 deaths
Georgia has reported 1,089 coronavirus cases, 1,489 recoveries, and 18 deaths on Sunday, the official figures show.
18,622 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 8,710 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 9,952 were PCR tests.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 607 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 108 cases, and the Adjara region with 102 cases.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 321,919, among them, 300,989 people recovered and 4,281 died.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 5,84%, while 5,98% in the past 14 days.
There are 72 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 4,386 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 812 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
As of today, 61,319 people got the coronavirus vaccine.
Currently, out of 909 critical patients, 189 require mechanical ventilation.
