Georgia reports 1 788 coronavirus cases, 1 251 recoveries, 31 deaths

Georgia has reported 1 788 coronavirus cases, 1 251 recoveries, and 31 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 963 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 178 cases and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 131 cases.

A total of 28 532 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 20 349 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 8 183 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 5,76%, while 6,07% in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 324 256, among them, 303 679 people recovered and 4 336 died. As of today, 67 136 people got the coronavirus vaccine.

There are 65 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 4 296 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 775 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
