Georgia reports 1 236 coronavirus cases, 2 189 recoveries, 23 deaths

Georgia reported 1 236 coronavirus cases, 2 189 recoveries, and 23 deaths on Saturday, according to the Press Service of Prime Minister.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 485 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 122 cases, and the Imereti region with 219 cases, the official figures show.

Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 247 025 among them 231 385 people recovered and 2 916 died.

There are 528 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 3 670 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 638 people are placed at Covid Hotels, 8 390 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at home, 24 106 people are in self-isolation.

Currently, there are 770 critical patients, among them, 238 require mechanical ventilation.
