Georgia reports 1 108 coronavirus cases, 714 recoveries, 7 deaths

Georgia reported 1 108 coronavirus cases, 714 recoveries, and 7 deaths on Friday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 673 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 75 cases, and the Adjara region with 74 cases.

A total of 23 895 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 13 758 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 10 137 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 4, 64 %, while 3, 47 % in the past 14 days. As of July 9, 289 399 people got the coronavirus vaccine.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 374 836, among them, 357 804 people recovered and 5 421 died.

There are 78 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 3 285 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 936 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
