Georgia reported 298 coronavirus cases, 1 311 recoveries, 16 deaths

Georgia reported 298 coronavirus cases, 1 311 recoveries, and 16 deaths on Monday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 107 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 44 cases and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 32 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 253 816, among them 243 396 people recovered and 3 071 died.

There are 515 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 3 223 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 402 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, there are 706 critical patients, among them, 195 require mechanical ventilation.
