Fire extinguishing operations underway in Mestia

20 firefighters and 2 MIA Border Police helicopters are trying to extinguish the forest fire in the village of Khaishi, Mestia municipality.

According to the Emergency Management Agency, the situation is under control for the time being, but the works are complicated due to wind, heat and terrain.
