Denmark listed Georgia as safe country

Denmark has put Georgia on the list of safe countries. Due to being put on the list of safe countries, the Danish side will consider the asylum applications of Georgian citizens in the short timeframe and not satisfy them.

According to Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the relevant decision was made by the Danish Immigration Service, the National Police and Refugee Council.

According to the representative of MFA of Georgia, the Danish side’s decision once again emphasizes the positive environment in terms of human rights and security, political stability and economic development in Georgia, which is recognized by our partners.

This decision has been enforced since 21 November 2018.
