Chair of GD Faction says opposition to go on compromise

“We have the expectation based on the information that opposition representatives will compromise in the next 2-3 days,” said Mamuka Mdinaradze, Chairman of the Georgian Dream faction in the parliament.

Mamuka Mdinaradze said after the GD Political Council meeting that a dialogue is crucial amid the ongoing political topics. According to GD faction Chair, pragmatic proposals will give them the ground to consider them.

“The opposition will come up with the proposals, which will serve as compromise and be pragmatic to consider. The so-called compiled document which consists of 6 points is worth consideration. There are issues which are already pending, for example, the election reform,” Mamuka Mdinaradze said.

Mdinadze said the only issue that the opposition tried to ‘sell as a compromise’ was a compromise. However, “Plebiscite can neither be assessed as the compromise nor the step taken by the opposition,” Mamuka Mdinaradze stated.
