4th Tbilisi International Conference organized by EPRC to be opened

The 4th International Conference organized by Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC) of McCain Institute “The World in 2018 – Upside Down ” will be opened in Tbilisi.

Georgia’s President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, Chairman of Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze, Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani and Defense Minister Levan Izoria will participate in the conference.

Kurt Volker, Executive Director of McCain Institute will give the welcoming speech. Guests from Europe, US, and former Ambassadors of US to Georgia will attend the conference. Representatives of the parliamentary opposition, NGOs, presidential candidates and international journalists will take part in debates and discussions.

Threats facing democracy, hybrid wars, misinformation, Russia’s moves, US foreign policy under Donald Trump Administration and 2018 presidential elections in Georgia will be the main topics of the conference.

The 4th International Conference will be held at Tbilisi Rooms Hotel and will close on September 12.
