Zugdidi Sakrebulo UNM faction supports Nika Melia

Members of the United National Movement (UNM) faction members in Zugdidi City Assembly (Sakrebulo) said at today’s briefing that they support Nika Melia’s candidacy for post of the UNM Chairman.

The faction members claimed that the ongoing processes in the party are not “pleasant,” however, saving ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili’s life and Georgia’s European integration are among the party’s key priorities.

The UNM members remarked on the statement of Levan Khabeishvili (another UNM chairmanship candidate) saying that Melia asks regional organization members to support his candidacy. Zugdidi Sakrebulo UNM representatives claimed that “Melia has no time to make such calls.”
