Zhorzholiani regrets about supporters of high prices with political motives; expects tangible results by April

“Unfortunately, individuals advocating for high prices have appeared in the country, driven by certain political mercantile agendas,” stated Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of the Administration of the Government of Georgia.

Zhorzholiani explained that there is no valid counterargument against the government’s efforts to lower prices for certain goods. This initiative isn’t limited to food products alone; it also encompasses fuel and medicines, as the commission’s remit covers these areas as well.

“Today, we will hold a meeting with distributors within the commission framework, followed by discussions with manufacturers on Monday, then with pharmaceutical companies, and finally on fuel. The approach remains consistent across these sectors, allowing us to work with a similar method. We anticipate that by the end of April, we will see concrete, tangible results. However, we believe that price reductions may occur even earlier, at least during the ongoing process within the government administration and the framework of the government commission,” added Levan Zhorzholiani.
