Zaza Gabunia calls on every political force ready for consultations for constructive work

Zaza Gabunia, Chairman of the Parliamentary Regional Policy and Self-Governance Committee called on every political force ready for consultations over the decision of the ruling party about the electoral system for constructive work.

“The ruling party made the best decision in benefit of the Georgian democracy,” Gabunia said. He said that there was no place at a round-table for negotiations of those, who were summoning people for violence.

Based on the decision of the leadership of the ruling Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia Party, the 2020 parliamentary elections in Georgia will be held based on a proportional electoral system with a zero-percent threshold.
