The Parliament of Georgia has issued a statement regarding additional security measures to be enacted on November 26.

“On November 26, the Parliament will host a plenary session during which the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, will be addressed via interpellation.

In connection with this, and in accordance with the Order of the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia dated September 4, 2023, No. N1/259/23, titled ‘On Approval of the Security Rules in the Palace of the Parliament of Georgia,’ a yellow security level will be applied in the Palace of the Parliament on that day.

As a result, visitor access to the Palace will be restricted.
Only individuals invited by the relevant organisational units will be permitted to attend scheduled parliamentary events, including committee and plenary sessions.

Furthermore, no more than three accredited groups of broadcasters or media outlets from each organisation will be allowed entry until the conclusion of the parliamentary proceedings.

This measure aims to ensure a safe and secure environment for all those working within the Palace of the Parliament of Georgia,” the statement read.
