World Vision Georgia: All large unregulated boarding schools should be closed in Georgia
“It was a great meeting at the Patriarchate. The Patriarchate has expressed its readiness and openness to listen to our advice, consider the best practices and standards in the field of child protection,” Eka Gurgenidze, the director of the international non-governmental organization, World Vision-Georgia, stated after the meeting at the Patriarchate.
She said that all big unregulated boarding schools should be closed in Georgia. “The Patriarchate shares this opinion. We talk about all boarding schools and not only Ninotsminda orphanage,” she added.
EU Ambassador Carl Hartzell and the representatives of organizations working on children’s rights attended the meeting at the Patriarchate.
