World Senior Championships: Georgian judoka Tato Grigalashvili wins world title

On the fourth day of the Tashkent World Senior Championships 2022, Georgian judoka, 2021 silver medallist, Tato Grigalashvili defeated Belgian Matthias Casse in the final -81kg category, claiming a gold medal.

Grigalashvili beat current Olympic champion, Japanese Nagase Takanori in his quarter-final of the 73 kg category, as well as 2018 world champion Azerbaijani Saied Mollaei in the semi-final, only to find himself in a rematch with Casse.
