Weather outlook for December 9-11: Mostly dry, rain and snow in mountain regions
The National Environmental Agency has issued its weather forecast across Georgia from December 9 to 11.
Forecasters predict that December 9 will be predominantly dry throughout the country. However, on December 10 and 11, some regions will experience rainfall, with snow falling in the high mountainous areas.
In Tbilisi, no precipitation is expected on December 9 and 11, while rain and fog are forecast for December 10. Daytime temperatures will range between +11 and +13 degrees Celsius.
Along Georgia’s coast, including Batumi, Kobuleti, Anaklia, and Poti, little to no precipitation is expected on December 9. Rain is anticipated on December 10 and 11, with daytime temperatures reaching +14 to +16 degrees.
In the lowland regions of Western Georgia, such as Zestafoni, Kutaisi, Samtredia, Zugdidi, Martvili, and Ozurgeti, the weather will remain mostly dry on December 9. Rain may occur in parts of these areas on December 10 and 11, with daytime temperatures of +15 to +17 degrees.
The mountainous areas of Western Georgia, including Ambrolauri, Oni, Tsageri, Shovi, Chiatura, Sachkhere, Khulo, and Rikotis Poti, are expected to experience dry conditions on December 9. On December 10 and 11, rain is likely in some places, with temperatures during the day around +11 to +13 degrees.
In the higher elevations of Western Georgia, Mestia and Bakhmaro, dry weather is forecast for December 9, with snowfall possible in some locations on December 10 and 11. Daytime temperatures will be between +6 and +8 degrees.
In the Kartli region, including Rustavi, Bolnisi, Marneuli, Gardabani, Gori, and Tskhinvali, the weather is expected to be mostly dry on December 9. Rain may occur in certain areas on December 10 and 11, with daytime temperatures around +11 to +13 degrees.
In Kakheti, covering Sagarejo, Telavi, Gurjaani, Sighnaghi, Lagodekhi, Kvareli, Akhmeta, and Dedoplistskaro, similar patterns are forecast: dry weather on December 9, with rain possible on December 10 and 11. Temperatures during the day will range from +12 to +14 degrees.
Eastern Georgia’s mountainous regions, such as Akhaltsikhe, Borjomi, Dusheti, Tianeti, and Pasanauri, are expected to be mostly dry on December 9. Rain is likely on December 10 and 11, with daytime temperatures between +8 and +10 degrees.
In the higher elevations of Eastern Georgia, including Akhalkalaki, Tsalka, Bakuriani, Gudauri, and Omalo, the forecast indicates dry conditions on December 9. Snowfall is anticipated in some areas on December 10 and 11. Daytime temperatures will be between +4 and +6 degrees.
