Weather forecast predicts snow and severe conditions in Georgia from January 17

The National Environmental Agency of Georgia (NEA) has issued a warning regarding upcoming weather conditions.

According to meteorological forecasts, Georgia can expect deteriorating weather starting from January 17.

“On January 17, in Western Georgia, and from January 18 to the morning of January 20 in Eastern Georgia, heavy precipitation is anticipated, primarily in the form of snow, along with fog, blizzards, ice on power lines, loose ice on roads, and avalanche risk in mountainous regions.

Due to heavy snowfall, reduced visibility, blizzards, and the presence of ice and avalanche danger, certain sections of highways may experience restrictions.

The forecasted heavy precipitation could also trigger landslides in hilly and mountainous areas, with a medium level of danger,” the National Environmental Agency states.
