Public transport resumes working in Georgia

All kinds of municipal transport have resumed working from today. Passengers will have to observe certain safety rules.

Transferring of standing passengers by mini-buses is prohibited and putting on conditioning systems in buses and mini-buses is not allowed.

Passengers have to wear medical facemasks. Movement is allowed with open windows. The Patrol Police will not admit passengers without facemasks in Tbilisi Subway.

According to Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of National Center for Diseases Control and Public Health, facemasks will become our companions for a long time and Georgian citizens will have to learn to cohabitate with conronavirus.

Movement by public transport – buses and subway – was banned on March 30. Serving of passengers by mini-buses has been prohibited since March 18.
