The environmental activists are holding the action in Vake Park in Tbilisi. Participants celebrate the decision made by Tbilisi City Hall over Budapest Hotel issue.
According to the assembled people, this day is a clear example of what can be achieved by civic activism.
The activists say they will continue protecting green spaces in the future.
The format of the protest rally, planned several days ago, was changed after the decision made by City Hall. A hotel will not be constructed in Vake Park – Kakha Kaladze, Tbilisi Mayor said after the meeting with the owner of Budapest Hotel on January 25.
