Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili echoed the developments in Ukraine. “We stand with Ukraine in these difficult times,” Parliament Speaker tweeted on Thursday.
“Unfortunately, the war in Ukraine could not be avoided. We once again call on the international community to make effective and firm steps to stop Russia escalating into a full-scale conflict and ensure the protection of international norms. We stand with Ukraine in these difficult times”, Papuashvili stated.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a military operation in Donbas on Thursday. Missile strikes and explosions have been reported in several parts of Ukraine, including Kyiv. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declared martial law.
