We have strong dynamics with the new US administration, MP Samkharadze says, hoping new diplomat will foster this momentum

“We enjoy very good dynamics in our relations with the new US administration, and I hope the new diplomat will foster this momentum,” stated MP Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee.

Samkharadze wished success to Amy W. Diaz, the newly appointed US Chargé d’Affaires ad interim to Georgia, in her new role.

“It is vital that the United States has diplomatic representation in Georgia. First and foremost, I would like to wish her every success in her work. I hope the Chargé d’Affaires will make a significant contribution to signing a new strategic partnership between America and Georgia. We have built very positive momentum with the new United States administration, and I hope the incoming diplomat will further support this trajectory,” Samkharadze said.

Yesterday, the US Embassy in Georgia announced that Amy W. Diaz will assume the role of US Chargé d’Affaires ad interim to Georgia. Before her appointment, the mission was led by Alan Purcell.
