We have good message for Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia - the door is open for you, MEP Andrzej Halicki states

“We have a good message for Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia – the door is open for you in the European Union”, Andrzej Halicki, Polish MEP, a member of the European People’s Party, stated.

As he noted, the negotiations for EU membership would begin soon.

“My message from the European Parliament to Ukrainians is that the procedures will pass quickly, and negotiations will begin soon. Now the main thing is to end the war on time. It is a top priority. We have three potential new members. I mean Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia. We have a good message for all three countries – the door is open for you. It is quite obvious that the time has come. The message should be clear and simple, as short as possible. We welcome the peoples of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine to become part of the common European space. I think that this is not only about the security of these three associated countries, but of the whole of Europe, because now the Ukrainians are fighting to protect Europe as a whole”, he said.
