“Pity not everyone partook in the voting,” a member of the European Parliament, Viola Von Cramon echoed Georgian Parliament’s decision to endorse constitutional changes on election bill.
“Congrats Georgia with adopting the Constitutional Amendments. Pity not everyone partook in the voting. This achievement should make the upcoming Parliamentary Elections more democratic and fair. Still, further efforts of all parties are advised 4 continued democratic transition,” Viola Von Cramon tweeted.
The Parliament of Georgia has approved the Draft Constitutional Changes in its 3rd reading. 117 voted in favour of election bill, and 3 voted against it.
Opposition parties European Georgia and the United National Movement refused to vote for the bill.
