Vice Speaker Volski: Local elections gain special political significance; war waged to bring puppet group to power
“Local elections have gained special political significance. Everyone must remember that today war is being waged to change the government in Georgia and bring a puppet group that will execute orders received from abroad to power,” declared Gia Volski, First Deputy Speaker of Georgia’s Parliament.
According to him, local elections are linked to global processes, certain visions, and conspiracies.
“Local elections have acquired particular political significance. In the current global situation, observing these processes, marked by immense bloodshed and tears, is naturally a matter of stability to remember. Everyone must recognise that today, a war is being waged to change the government in Georgia and seat a puppet regime that will follow foreign directives. Local elections are also connected to broader global processes, including certain visions, conspiracies, and so forth. Equally important are social issues and the specific tasks that local governments must address, covering society’s problems, interests, education, agriculture, the economy, and numerous other matters related to local communities and their challenges,” stated Gia Volski.
According to him, there is no vacant space in the political arena; political groups and associations will emerge. Even if they do not succeed at this stage, they will at least establish their presence in society and endeavour to try their luck again in the future to achieve success in the political arena.
“According to expert assessments, this is a normal phenomenon; however, in Georgia, it has a particular characteristic. A healthy, stable political climate has yet to develop, where political groups are recognised for their programmes, ideas, and leaders. It is also very difficult for something new to emerge unless it possesses the intellectual resources necessary for success on the political stage.
This climate and situation do not currently exist in Georgia. There is a certain group of people, hardly deserving of the term ‘political,’ who are attempting to pursue a revolutionary path and bring destabilisation to Georgia to seize power. The parties, whose composition society is somewhat familiar with, have primarily committed themselves to subordinating to externally received instructions and securing financial resources to achieve their aims,” stated Gia Volski.
