Vice Speaker Tsilosani: EC’s visa liberalisation report reveals that Georgians are under attack because of their electoral will

“The entry in the visa liberalisation report has shown us that the Georgian people are under attack and they cannot tolerate that the decision they desired was not reflected in the elections,” stated Nino Tsilosani, Vice Speaker of Parliament.

Tsilosani commented on the European Commission report, which assessed the fulfilment of visa liberalisation criteria by partner countries.

Furthermore, as Nino Tsilosani pointed out, the government has adopted all the laws that the Georgian people have requested that are now urged to be repealed.

“The core issue lies at the very beginning, where they confuse laws with the Georgian people themselves. The mandate given by the Georgian people was that family values and transparency should be fundamental principles guiding the development and preservation of our nation. The threat of visa cancellation, used as a means of retaliation, amounts to a restriction on the Georgian people,” Tsilosani explained.
