Vice Speaker praises Vakhtang Gomelauri as finest Interior Minister since 1990s
“Vakhtang Gomelauri, through his dedication, professionalism, and dignity, created conditions that allowed the country, state institutions, political authorities, and all branches of government to remain calm,” stated Tea Tsulukiani, Vice Speaker of Parliament and Chair of the interim investigation commission studying government activities from 2003 to 2012.
Tsulukiani commented on the recent announcement by Vakhtang Gomelauri, Georgia’s Minister of Internal Affairs and Vice Prime Minister, regarding his resignation.
According to Tsulukiani, Gomelauri was an “official who knew how to ensure security” while simultaneously “maintaining the delicate balance required for this demanding work.”
She extended her best wishes for his future success and expressed gratitude to every member of the Ministry for their service.
