Vice Speaker Nino Tsilosani: Garibashvili’s claims foster no goodwill among former teammates or supporters who once trusted him

“It is a deeply regrettable and shameful reality for us to learn such things about a former teammate; under these circumstances, I would struggle to say which side wielded the knife in the back,” stated Vice Speaker of Parliament Nino Tsilosani.

According to Tsilosani, Irakli Garibashvili’s recent public statements foster no goodwill among his former colleagues.

“Irakli Garibashvili admitted to the crime for which he is currently serving a sentence. The case concerns unsubstantiated assets, and he pled guilty to the charges himself. In light of this, his statements generate no sympathy or goodwill, certainly not among his former party colleagues, nor, I suspect, among a large portion of supporters who placed great trust in him,” Tsilosani remarked.
