Vice Speaker: Georgian parliamentary delegation to meet political groups at PACE
“We will address the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and hold meetings with political groups to review the letter, which the Georgian opposition, in its usual extremist tone sent to Strasbourg urging it not to admit the Georgian parliamentary delegation and expel it from the Assembly,” said Tea Tsulukiani, Vice Speaker.
According to Tsulukiani, the facts confirm that Georgia successfully held the parliamentary elections.
“As we know, some opposition representatives also plan to visit Strasbourg. However, we should not forget that they renounced their MP mandates, and they will not be able to participate in the PACE meeting. They have the right and freedom to hold meetings with their colleagues in other formats, but it will not be their official engagement with the Assembly,” she said.
