Vice Prime Minister: Mountain Days good opportunity to popularize mountain regions' culture

“Mountain Days held annually in July, provide a good opportunity for the popularization of mountain regions’ culture,” said Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili in Tusheti.

According to Davitashvili, Georgian mountainous regions have special attractions with unique traditions, and nature and play a significant role in tourism industry development.

“A large part of the territory of Georgia is mountainous regions, and the discovery of this unique culture, getting to know the local traditions, I think, contributes a lot to the popularization of the mountain,” said Davitashvili.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze attended “Mountain Days 2024” in Tusheti on Saturday.

Mountain Days are held in the highly-elevated regions at the organization of the Georgian Government Administration. Tusheti, Khevsureti, Mestia and Kazbegi host the festival on July 12. Similar activities will be held on July 20 in Bakhmaro, Gordi, Goderdzi and Tsageri.

Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Irakli Karseladze, Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri and local authorities accompanied the PM.
