Vice Prime Minister congratulates Communications branch employees on professional day

Levan Davitashvili, Georgia’s First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development congratulated the employees of the telecommunications industry on the Day of Telecommunications and World Telecommunications and Information Society.

According to the Minister, in a century of digital technologies and telecommunications, information technologies create new opportunities for socioeconomic and cultural development.

The Minister remarked that this year, the Day of Telecommunications and World Telecommunications and Information Society is observed with the theme Gender Equality in Digital Transformation highlighting equal participation opportunities in digital transformation processes and access to modern digital technologies.

Levan Davitashvili underscored that the development of telecommunication and information technologies remains a top priority for the Georgian government which confirms the significance of growing, inclusive, accessible and reliable digital services.

“The professionalism, daily work and innovative thinking of people employed in communications and telecommunications spheres drive this processes. I wish you success and further achievements in these significant activities,” reads Davitashvili’s congratulatory message.
